Most of these products are locked to the vendors system. It is quite common for different vendors to "lock" users into a system so that they buy more products from that vendor.
The 3 "hubs" linked above are all these type of product. An so far we have not even tried to integrate them into the platform. Integration into IoT Open would mean we either have our software on a separate gateway and access the data using an API on their hubs. Or installing software directly into the hubs, both of these tasks is quite hard to accomplish when the manufacturers are super locked down.
