Today, a few customers have reported certificate errors when accessing our services, while the majority have not experienced any issues.
We have verified that our certificates are valid and functioning correctly. I have not been able to reproduce the problem myself, which makes further investigation challenging. However, since multiple users have encountered this today, I want to remind everyone: do not ignore certificate warnings.
If you see a certificate error, your browser and the underlying TLS security are doing their job—protecting you. There is no immediate cause for panic, but please act with caution. If possible, take a screenshot of the certificate shown and send it to me at marcus.rejas@iotopen.se
To summarize:
- Do not bypass certificate warnings.
- Our services should not display certificate errors under normal circumstances.
- A certificate warning could indicate suspicious activity, meaning the system is working as intended to keep you safe.
