tobiasjonsson Hello, Im looking to connecting Lorawan gateways from Milesight and the guide looks simple enough but I dont have an account to lorawan.iotopen.se. And since we are using the Jönköping hosted iot open server I wonder if that is different?
rejas Hi Tobias! Yes, connecting gateways is quite-straight forward. In Jönköping Region there are two Chirpstack servers in use and I don't know which one you should use. Etiher it is lorawan.iotopen.se or the one hosted by Jönköping Energi.
Jesper And I can add that in Jönköping we also have several uses of Actility/Stadshubbsalliansen and Netmore for the different municipalities where Chirpstack is not used at all. Who was in charge in your Municipality/Company for setting up the initial equipment that was used? Perhaps they know better how the system is set up at the moment?
tobiasjonsson Well, we do have a netmore network that Värnamo Energi set up. But that Lora network will not be expanded in the future and we got a few devices with too bad connection. Since we have a gateway we want to try using it instead.
tobiasjonsson Coming back to the original question, how do i get an account to log into lorawan.iotopen.se ?
Jesper Okey, In that case I think you want to contact sales@th1ng.se to order integration of a new network provider.
tobiasjonsson Well that was a dead end. Can you integrate an external Chirpstack server into IoT-Open linking up MQTT or do I have to write some kind of interpreter that generates the devices and functions?
fredrik @tobiasjonsson did Johnny at TH1NG successfully get in contact with you before summer vacations?
tobiasjonsson fredrik Well he did reach out but I already were out for the summer then. We should have a meeting soon though. I did however make my own (readonly) integration between chirpstack and IoT-Open. Its just a lab but It does work. Learned alot about mqtt, IoT-Open and python while doing it.
